USD Hosts Women’s History Month Kick-Off

VERMILLION, S.D. – The University of South Dakota hosts a kick-off event for women’s history month tonight in the Muenster University Center pit lounge from 5-7 p.m.

The event, “What’s HERstory?” will invite audience members to talk about the women that inspire them followed by a screening of Beyonce’s 2016 visual album Lemonade.

The event is free and open to the public and is hosted by the Center for Diversity and Community and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies.


Founded in 1862 and the first university in the Dakotas, the University of South Dakota is the only public liberal arts university in the state, with 202 undergraduate and 84 graduate programs in the College of Arts & Sciences, School of Education, Knudson School of Law, Sanford School of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, Beacom School of Business and College of Fine Arts.
