The Academic & Career Planning Center (ACPC) offers free, on-campus tutoring for military and veteran students. Tutoring is not available for all courses and tutor help is dependent on student-tutor availability. Tutoring help includes historically difficult first and second year courses, including but not limited to:
- Math (at or below Calculus 1 level)
- English (literature and composition)
- Science (chemistry, biology, physics and Earth science)
- Business and economics
If you have determined that you are in need of tutoring services, see the ACPC's tutoring page for more information. Please keep in mind, tutor requests should only be made if it is absolutely necessary to have one-on-one tutoring. Also, note that all tutoring takes place on the USD Vermillion main campus.
Once you have applied for tutoring services, you will hear from a tutoring specialist within three business days. If you have not heard from a tutor within three business days, please contact the Student Veteran Resource Center (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call 605-677-7274.
The ACPC also offers learning specialist services, which work with students to develop more effective study strategies. To schedule an appointment, call the ACPC at 605-658-3600.
