“This promises to be an interesting and educational program and all of us at the School of Law are delighted to host these lawyer-legislators who devote so much to serving the public,” said Barry R. Vickrey, dean of the USD School of Law. “This seminar will again be a wonderful way of honoring Professor Gunderson.”

The Gunderson Seminar honors the memory of Clark Y. Gunderson, who devoted his life to legal education and public service. In 1934, he began his 30-year tenure as a professor at the USD School of Law, his alma mater. Gunderson taught at USD until his death in 1964. The annual program, which is open to USD students and the public, is provided through the Law School Foundation Trust Fund established by the Gunderson family.
