47th annual Student History Conference is April 19 at USD
Dozens of students will present their papers and Professor David Sheffler of the University of Northern Florida will present the plenary lecture, “Entangled Lives: Heresy, Schism and the Late Medieval Crises,” during the daylong event sponsored by the USD Department of History and the Zeta Mu Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national honor society in history.
The Student History Conference, which began at USD in 1965, is free and open to the public. The conference is modeled on professional history conferences and features papers to be presented on local, American, European and world history.
