Beacom Recognizes Top 100 High Achievers
The University of South Dakota Beacom School of Business recognized 100 students for superior academic achievement at the fall Academic Excellence Luncheon on Nov. 1.
Students were selected based on grade point average achieved in the spring 2017 semester. 29 seniors, 30 juniors, 27 sophomores, and 14 freshmen were honored for grade point averages ranging from 3.813 to 4.0. From the Top 100 high achieving students, 93 recorded a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
“Beacom students are talented and we are so proud of their accomplishments. This event is the perfect opportunity to publicly honor and recognize our students specifically for their academic achievements,” said Venky Venkatachalam, dean of the Beacom School of Business.
Alexis Konstant, class of 2011 Beacom graduate and Licensed Broker Associate for Lloyd Companies spoke to the students about a path to real-world success.
