CMJ student awarded 2013 NBNA Jack Shelley Scholarship
Bartlett, a junior Contemporary Media & Journalism and Political Science double major, will graduate in May 2014. As a USD student, she is active as a news anchor and the assignment editor for Coyote News TV, serves as co-news director for Coyote Radio KAOR-FM, and is a reporter for the statewide network SDPB Radio.
Presented annually by the Northwest Broadcast News Association (NBNA), the scholarship is named for Jack Shelley, professor emeritus at Iowa State University and former news director at WHO in Des Moines, Iowa. The scholarship, open to students at colleges and universities in Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska, will be awarded on Saturday, April 13 at the NBNA’s annual Midwest Journalism Conference in Minneapolis, Minn.
