Cross Media Council Hosts SGA Debate
The Cross Media Council will host a debate between the two SGA executive teams running for president and vice president. Junior Cameron Frentress and running mate sophomore Anna Madsen will square off against junior Nathaniel Steinlicht and running mate junior Michelle Novak at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at in the Al Neuharth Media Center conference room. The event is free and open to the public.
Both SGA teams will answer questions written prior to the debate by members of the CMC, but students are encouraged to submit their own questions on Twitter with the hashtag #SGA2016.
Audience members will also be able to ask candidates questions directly during the one-hour event. The CMC will not allow audience members to bring any promotional material in support of either campaign. This includes but is not limited to buttons, posters, flags, shirts, etc.
The debate will be broadcast live on cable channel 21 and KAOR 91.1 FM. There will also be live coverage through Volanteonline.com and student journalism social media sites.
The Cross Media Council is a student organization that consists of representation from each student media, including The Volante, Coyote News TV and Radio and KAOR.
