Culturally Responsive Teaching Professional Development Coming to USDNews
Geneva Gay, Ph.D., professor of education at the University of Washington-Seattle and a top scholar in the field, will lead the sessions in the Al Neuharth Center conference room. There is no cost to attend, but attendees must RSVP to [email protected] by Friday, May 20.
The schedule:
- 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 8: Keynote address and dinner for K-12 educators and university faculty and staff.
- 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, June 9: Culturally responsive teaching workshop for university faculty and staff (lunch provided).
- 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Friday, June 10: Culturally responsive teaching workshop for K-12 educators (refreshments provided).
