Dennis Sjolie headlines final 2008 VLP poetry reading slam
Sjolie, an associate professor of English and coordinator of the ESL program at The University of South Dakota, is also a bass/keyboard player for the band Narrative Feed. His most recent published work appears in The Griffin, "Quarter After Eight" and "English Journal." In addition, he has new fiction forthcoming in "Way Out West." Sjolie’s reading will be followed by a poetry slam – open to anyone. Poets planning to slam should bring three poems. Prizes will be awarded to slam winners.
