E Team Delta Sigma Pi and Beacom School of Business welcome Dave Anderson of Famous Daves
The event, which begins with a meet and greet with Anderson at 5 p.m., includes dinner, a fashion show and a silent auction at the Valiant Vineyards Winery in Vermillion. Anderson will deliver his keynote address on the USD campus at 7:30 p.m. in the ballroom of the Muenster University Center. His presentation will be open to the public at no charge and is sponsored by the Beacom Opportunity Fund. The Beacom Opportunity Fund provides resources for initiatives that promote the Beacom School of Business's students and programs.
Both the meet and greet social, and the dinner – featuring Famous Dave’s signature ribs – are fundraisers for the E-Team. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. followed by a fashion show featuring local designers. Silent auction winners will be announced at 7 p.m.
Famous Dave’s is a legendary barbecue franchise with more than 170 restaurants in the United States. Voted the “Hottest Restaurant Concept in America” by Nation’s Restaurant News, Famous Dave’s has received unprecedented recognition. In addition to founding Famous Dave’s, Anderson has helped found several publicly traded companies on Wall Street and created over 20,000 new jobs. He has served two Presidents and three governors in advisory positions and even though Anderson finished in the bottom half of his high school class, he earned a master’s degree from Harvard University without an undergraduate degree.
As a highly sought after keynote speaker, Anderson shares his heartfelt optimism using his life’s story to share valuable insight and life lessons in dealing with today’s fast-changing and challenging world.
