Earth Speak student exhibit featured at WH Over Museum
Buechler, from Centerville, S.D., studied art at USD for five years with an emphasis in printmaking. When Buechler took a class in costume design, his love of character in art realized. He uses a variety of art techniques to create a message and story about the magic of the world and its embodiment from fantasy into the real world.
Working for the USD theater department costume shop has influenced Buechler’s take on character. Having designed shows like “Of Mice and Men,” “The Impresario” and “My Way,” Buechler has learned a variety of storytelling methods from creating character presentation to an audience en masse so that each is to be understood.
