Fall Choral Showcase features USD choirs
VERMILLION, S.D. -- The University of South Dakota Chamber Singers, Concert Choir and Men’s and Women’s Chorus will come together for an electrifying performance at 3 p.m. this Sunday, Oct. 19 at Aalfs Auditorium inside Slagle Hall.
The Fall Choral Showcase will be under the direction of David Holdhusen, Ph.D., director of choral activities and assistant professor of music at USD. This is the first performance of the new academic year for the USD choral program.
In addition to performances featuring master composers Bach, Haydn and Vaughn Williams, the choirs will perform selections from modern repertoire, spirituals and folk songs. The concert is free and open to the public.
