Grieve came to USD in July 2012 where she has served as Dean of Students. Previously, she served as assistant vice president, dean of students and retention at Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio. Prior to Lourdes University, Grieve was an English instructor at Monroe County Community College and presented developmental learning materials workshops and seminars for directors, supervisors, teachers and parents. Grieve received a Ph.D. in leadership in higher education and master’s degree in education from the University of Toledo and a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Michigan State University. Card joined the USD School of Business in 1992 where he specialized in the study of strategic management, leadership and organizational change. In 2002, he moved across campus to the Department of Political Science, where he taught public management to government and non-profit leaders as well as courses in South Dakota government and politics. Card earned his Ph.D. in Public Policy & Management from The Ohio State University; and his master’s degree (Public Administration) and bachelor’s degree from USD.
