“In Transposition” showcases bodies of work that have been developed by these students during their undergraduate careers. The exhibition opens Monday, April 9 and goes through Friday, April 13 at the John A. Day Gallery. A closing reception for the artists is scheduled from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on April 13.

Ayotte, from Harrisburg, S.D., will graduate with her B.F.A. in Photography and K- 12 teaching certification in May. Her exhibit focuses on reflections of nature while isolating fluidity within organic forms. Blasy, of Rapid City, S.D., will receive a B.F.A. in Painting next month. His work balances on the line between graffiti painting, street art and highbrow art. Harvey, from Maplewood, Minn., is also graduating with a B.F.A. in Painting. Her work reflects the local socioeconomic sphere where she lives and uses found objects as well as traditional painting methods. Reinders, from Ireton, Iowa, will graduate with a B.F.A. in Photography and enjoys mixing both dark room processes and digital media. Law McMahan, of Sioux Falls, S.D., will graduate with a B.F.A. in ceramics in May. His work is based in function, and focused on deconstruction of formal aesthetics while acknowledging the venerable history of clay.
