In 2015, she conducted 13 suicide interventions and led suicide prevention presentations for more than 3,000 college-age students and college faculty. She also worked with staff at DePaul University to reevaluate its suicide prevention programs and address program gaps.

Tucker attended USD her first two years of undergraduate study and graduated with a bachelor’s in communications and media studies from DePaul University. She’s back at USD for her first year of law school. Tucker is a 2013 initiate of Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta at USD and stayed active with Alpha Xi Delta at DePaul.

For the next year she will be doing suicide prevention work throughout the Midwest, including South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and Illinois. Tucker is available for travel to all Midwestern states to give training to people of all ages on how to prevent suicide, recognize the signs and address depression and other mental illness. The mission of Live Out Loud Charity is to serve those at risk of committing suicide and to help stop this preventable cause of death. Since its founding in 2010, it has reached millions of people nationwide. “We are proud to say we are branching out, becoming a nationwide organization through the partnership with several institutions that share our mission of suicide awareness and prevention,” Tucker said.
