Pithan Leads USD Nursing
Anne Pithan, D.N.P., has been named chair of the nursing department at the University of South Dakota.
Pithan has served in the nursing profession for 33 years, working in both academia and practice, and she began her service at USD in 2017.
Pithan oversees a large and successful program that offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree at four sites across South Dakota, including in Vermillion (main USD campus), Pierre (Capital University Center), Sioux Falls and Rapid City. An online R.N.-B.S.N. program is also offered by USD Nursing.
