Reflective Resolutions to be on display at USDs Day Gallery
A description of the student art includes photo work by Amelia Wulf of Pierre, S.D., whose theme is self-reflection. Her work is in the form of a mini-series and an installation piece. Amy Braunesreither of Yankton, S.D., works with alternative processes and found material. Her photography focuses on movement and overlooked moments in life. The photo work by Jessica Baxter of Yankton, S.D., incorporates texture and old, abandoned items. Art by printmaker Timothy Harden of Portland, Ore., attempts to reveal the aspects of life often passed over and undervalued in normal circumstances. He works primarily in stonework lithography, channeling raw emotion into representational form.
A reception for these four students is scheduled for Thursday, April 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Day Gallery, which is open at no cost to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and from 1 to 5 p.m. on weekends.
