Students from the region are encouraged to attend the four-day symposium, July 12-16. Under the direction of Angela Olson, MPA, CPA, an instructor of accounting and finance at USD, the Accounting Institute will address educational, career exploration, professional and social aspects of accounting, including a field trip to nationally known public accounting firm as well as various regional businesses. Students will also have an opportunity to meet national, regional and local employers who hire USD accounting graduates. Additional activities during the week include presentations from faculty, educational videos and fun activities, including sand volleyball, bowling, Frisbee golf, swimming, movies and more.
