Dedik’s recital, in Colton Recital Hall at the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts, will feature works by Beethoven, Chopin and Liszt. She will also conduct a master class for USD piano students from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Oct. 25. Both events are free and open to the public.

Dedik has performed on some of the most important stages in the world, including the internationally-renowned Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Carnegie Hall in New York, The Concertgebouw Hall in Amsterdam, L’École Normale de Musique in Paris and at The Great Philharmonic Hall, St. Petersburg, Russia. She performs with the Prima Trio, a chamber group that was formed in United States. Prima Trio burst onto the international stage when they won both the first prize and the Grand Prize at the Fischoff International Chamber Music Competition. Since then, they have been touring throughout the continental United States, Italy and Germany. Their first album, “Prima,” was released in April.

Following her graduation from the St. Petersburg (Russia) Conservatory in 2004, Dedik continued her education at Oberlin College & Conservatory of Music in Ohio and The Juilliard School in New York City. She is the founder and artistic director of the Russian Heritage Piano Competition for young pianists in St. Petersburg.
