Timmerman, a surgeon associated with Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, also served as a panel participant and a research paper reviewer at the conference, held in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
His two keynote speeches were titled “Specifics, Challenges, and Development of a General Surgical Training Program for Rural-based Surgery” and “The Creation and Maintenance of a Rural Based State-Wide Trauma System.”
