School of Law to Host South Dakota Attorney General Nov 20
The University of South Dakota Pre-Law Society will host South Dakota Attorney General and USD alumnus Jason Ravnsborg for a lecture on Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. in the USD School of Law.
"We are excited to host Attorney General Ravnsborg to address a next generation of South Dakota lawyer leaders," said Dean Neil Fulton. “He has modeled service and leadership since he graduated from the law school, and it is a pleasure to say 'welcome home' to him. I hope many students can attend to hear his insights on law and public service."
Ravnsborg earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in history and political science and a law degree from USD. In January of 2019, he was sworn in as the 31st attorney general of South Dakota.
Ravnsborg will talk about his life, career and the legal field. His discussion will focus on combating the current opioid crisis in South Dakota. The event will take place in room 101 of the law school.
