Sioux Falls Health Eduction Coordinator to Lead National Group
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Brock Rops, South Dakota state advisor for HOSA-Future Health Professionals, has been elected chair-elect of the national organization.
Rops, M.Ed., is education coordinator of the South Dakota Area Health Education Center on the Sioux Falls campus of the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine.
HOSA was founded in 1976 to provide motivation, inspiration and opportunities to secondary and post-secondary students interested in developing leadership and knowledge skills for health care professions. HOSA’s nationwide membership exceeds 180,000 students in 3,700 chapters. In South Dakota, its membership includes 534 high school students in 19 chapters.
