Sorority Sponsors Taco Feast for Charity
VERMILLION, S.D. -- The Psi Chapter of Alpha Phi at the University of South Dakota is holding its first Alpha Phi Taco Phi’st (feast) to raise money for the Vermillion Backpack Program. It will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 at the St. Agnes Elementary School cafeteria.
Besides an all-you-can eat taco bar for $5, there will be a photo booth with props, a jalapeno-eating contest and a raffle with door prizes. There will also be a children’s carnival with games and face painting that will benefit the Vermillion Theatre Project.
The “Taco Phi’st” will raise money for the Vermillion Backpack Program, which is sponsored by the non-profit organization the Vermillion Welcome Table. It provides weekend snacks and easy-to-prepare meals for students in the Vermillion area who do not have enough to eat.
