South Dakota Supreme Court Justice Zinter Passes
University of South Dakota School of Law Dean Thomas Geu released the following statement in regards to the passing of South Dakota Supreme Court Justice, Steven L. Zinter '69 B.S., '72 J.D.
“Justice Zinter was a thoughtful and courageous person. Most of us do not, cannot, appreciate the hard, careful work he performed researching and writing opinions alone in his chambers. Neither can we understand the emotional toll that is sometimes involved with making hard decisions. He was a people’s kind of judge and USD School of Law and I, personally, are proud of our association with Justice Zinter and his family.”
Justice Zinter was appointed to the South Dakota Supreme Court in April of 2002.
