SSOM Health Sciences at The U host Welcome Table event
The dinner, a special Holiday Welcome Table event, is free of charge to guests. More than 350 meals will be served. In addition to the roast beef dinner, live music and a children’s activity room will be provided. This is the second year that the Sanford School of Medicine and the School of Health Sciences at USD have sponsored this holiday event.
The Welcome Table was founded in 2001 to provide an inviting place each week where community members can come together to share food, fellowship, service and a sense of community while dining on a warm and nutritious meal in a safe environment. The Welcome Table also supports special community events throughout the year, including a school supplies collection in the summer and, in the fall, a winter clothing drive.
