University Art Galleries at USD presents The Loss of Memory
This exhibit of small scale drypoint intaglio prints is Boutwell’s first foray into printmaking. "The Loss of Memory" examines the connection between unreliability of memory and the illogic of dreams.
As home to South Dakota’s premier Master of Fine Arts program, The University of South Dakota’s Department of Art encourages its undergraduate and graduate students to explore techniques outside of their main discipline. This unified approach fosters an integrated and holistic creative experience while taking into account the contemporary use of inter-disciplinary media. Graduate students benefit from an introduction to varied disciplines that prepare them for broad professional teaching experiences.
