Phyllis Bramson, a prolific contemporary artist, has exhibited her work nationally and internationally for over 35 years in major art centers like New York City, Chicago, Caracas, Venezuela, and Melbourne, Australia. Recently, Bramson received the Distinguished Artist for 2012 Award presented by the Union League Club of Chicago. Adam Scott received his M.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1998 and currently serves as an instructor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Robert Morris College. Scott is represented by Kavi Gupta Gallery in Chicago, Illinois.

Additional activities scheduled during the exhibit include a presentation by Bramson in the John A. Day Gallery at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10. On Friday, Nov. 11, the gallery will host an artists’ reception for “Provocateurs” and another exhibit, “Untitled,” from 5-7:30 p.m. Also that evening, the Vermillion Area Arts Council will host a student art exhibit featuring sculpture and ceramic from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Washington Street Arts Center in Vermillion.
