USD Beacom School of Business Hosts Innovation Open House
VERMILLION, S.D. — USD students and faculty interested in starting their own business can learn what resources are available on campus at an innovation and entrepreneurship open house on Tuesday, Jan. 19, in Beacom School of Business.
The event, which starts at 3:30 p.m. in Beacom 309, includes refreshments. People who attend will be introduced to some of the Entrepreneurs-in-Residence and organizations that are available to provide free help. Student entrepreneurs who already have businesses of their own are also willing to help as well as part of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO Club).
Attendees will also get to explore Beacom's new Innovation Lab where 3D printers can be used to create prototypes of new product ideas. And students will learn how they can win cash and prizes as part of the Invent-2-Innovate Business Model Competition scheduled for March 19.
