USD Celebrates Veterans Service
On Monday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. the Student Veteran Resource Center will distribute green lights to represent those who have served. Tuesday, toy soldiers will be handed out as a reminder to keep military personnel in the thoughts of the USD community.
Wednesday the SVRC will host a panel discussion featuring student veterans at 2 p.m. in the MUC pit lounge. Thursday, Pinterest in the Pit will have a Veterans Day theme.
USD’s School of Health Sciences and Sanford School of Medicine are hosting a Veteran’s Recognition Ceremony the afternoon of Thursday, Nov. 10. Later that day, the USD Veterans Club is holding its 12th annual community supper at 6 p.m. at the Eagles Club. Steve Feimer, Ph.D., associate professor at USD, will be discussing his new book “Vietnam Veterans: Still Coming Home - Their Stories in Their Words” at the event.
The annual Vermillion Veterans Day Ceremony will be held Friday Nov. 11 from 10-11 a.m. at Vermillion High School.
