IACLEA is the leading authority for campus public safety, promoting a global network of campus public safety experts who share best practices, solve problems and set standards for the profession. Through IACLEA, higher education public safety leaders can obtain training, development and critical networking with their peers nationally and internationally.

“It is an honor to be appointed as the mid-America director for the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators by IACLEA President Paul Dean,” said Jackson. “IACLEA has been instrumental in advancing public safety in higher education and the continued development of higher education law enforcement. I look forward to representing the mid-America region, the University of South Dakota and the USD Police Department as an IACLEA Board of Directors member.”

Jackson will be sworn in with the entire board during the IACLEA Leadership Awards & Installation Gala in New Orleans June 24-27. Jackson has been an active IACLEA member for many years and currently sits on the Annual Conference Education Committee. He has also served as the IACLEA state champion for South Dakota and on the IACLEA education and learning committee.

About the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators

International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) is the largest professional association devoted to excellence in campus public safety and law enforcement. The organization’s members are police chiefs, public safety directors, law enforcement officers and security personnel at higher education institutions who are responsible for protecting millions of students worldwide.

IACLEA was created by 11 college and university security directors who met in November of 1958 at Arizona State University to discuss job challenges and mutual problems and to create a clearinghouse for information on issues that campus public safety directors across the country share. Today, IACLEA has more than 9,000 memberships, currently filled by 4,000 leaders in campus public safety representing by over a thousand higher education institutions in 14 countries.
