USD counseling professor receives highest SD counseling award
This award, the top award given by the organization, recognizes a counselor who has been involved for a lengthy period of time in the counseling profession --someone who has been involved with the organization and has provided a high level of service both to clients and to fellow counselors.
Duncan has been an active member of the counseling profession, both statewide and nationally, for more than 25 years. She has held leadership positions at the state level and recently completed a six-year position on the American Counseling Association Governing Council. As a counselor educator, she has impacted the lives of a number of students who now serve in leadership positions in the state organization as well as in their communities. Her active involvement in the counseling profession in the state has contributed to significant policy and legislation serving counselors and consumers.
Duncan joined the counseling faculty at USD in 2006. She is coordinator of school counseling clinical experiences and the director of the USD Counseling and School Psychological Services Center. Download a photo of Duncan.
