During "Coyoteopoly Day," USD students went door-to-door collecting non-perishable food items as well as monetary donations. Coyoteopoly is a student organization run by business law and legal environment students at The U. This is the fifth consecutive year that Coyoteopoly and students from the Beacom School of Business have contributed food and cash to the Vermillion Food Pantry, exceeding last year’s total of $10,000. Since 2006, the organization has raised more than $30,000 and collected more than 20,000 food items.

Created by Associate Professor Greg Huckabee of the Beacom School of Business, Coyoteopoly has provided important service-learning opportunities for faculty, staff and students at USD. In addition to providing donations and support to the Vermillion Food Pantry, Coyoteopoly has also helped raise money and awareness for Keep Vermillion Beautiful and military aid organizations that have distributed school supplies to children in Iraq.
