“We don’t do the regular reading, writing and arithmetics,” said Andrea Wange, camp director and curriculum instructor. “Our curriculum is designed to expose students to experiences they wouldn’t normally receive in a regular classroom.”

Students can choose from a variety of classes that test their mental aptitude ranging from voice lessons and dance to field biology. Students also experience motivational guest speakers, engage in team building and experience the USD campus.

The South Dakota Governor’s Camp for middle school students will take place July 23-28. The Ambassadors of Excellence Camp for high school students will take place July 17-28.
