USD Hosts 66th Annual Summer Music Camp
“The USD Summer Music Camp is a place for students who love music to come together with other students who share that love from across the region,” said David Holdhusen, chair of the camp and USD music department. “I love the process of the week and seeing these kids come together not knowing each other, and at the end of the week, they are making music. That’s the most rewarding part of the camp for students and the staff.”
About 200 students who have completed grades 5-12 are expected to attend the six-day camp. Activities include vocal and instrumental ensembles, as well as a variety of other musical classes and experiences. Opportunities for private lessons in a specific instrument or voice are also available upon the request.
