“The Fall Choral Showcase is an exciting concert for the Choral Area. It is the first chance each year for the three choirs to perform for an audience,” said David Holdhusen, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Music and Director of Choral Activities. “We have worked hard during the first half of the semester to prepare for the performance and we now get to share this beautiful music with family and friends.”

Under the direction of David Holdhusen and Tim Campbell, Ph.D., the USD choral ensembles will present their fall concert. The concert features the Men’s and Women’s Chorus, the Concert Choir, and the Chamber Singers as they perform music by master composers like Tallis, modern repertoire by the likes of Stroope and Priano, as well as spirituals and folk songs.

“This is what we do as musicians and we hope that those in attendance will be inspired by the music we present,” said Holdhusen.
