USD MFA student showcases paintings through graduate exhibit
Cox, from Duluth, Minn., has studied painting at USD since 2007. His work focuses on the analysis of individual and multiple viewpoints through the construction of contemporary mythological figures using analysis, fragmentation and hybrids of imagery and media. After receiving his M.F.A., Cox plans to teach in a small collegiate environment.
“Envisage (Invention) = Analysis + Allegory + Affixation” is available for public viewing Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. For more information about this exhibit, please contact the Visual Arts Center of the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science, which is located at 301 S.
