USD Nursing educator named to national leadership program
Associate Professor Cindy Mulder, RNC, MS, MSN, CNP, is one of 10 nursing educators selected through a competitive application process to be part of the National League for Nursing (NLN)/Johnson & Johnson Faculty Leadership and Mentoring Program. She will be matched with a mentor to help her develop leadership skills. Mulder and her mentor will spend one year working together on a project that will be presented at the NLN’s 2009 Education Summit in Philadelphia.
Mulder has been on faculty at The University of South Dakota since 2006 and teaches and coordinates the first semester course, The Practice of Caring, at the Sioux Falls campus. She holds a Master’s of Science in Administrative Studies from The University of South Dakota and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb. In addition, she is a nurse practitioner and is board certified in Women’s Health and Family Practice.
