USD’s production of “The Marriage of Figaro” will be set in 1960’s Las Vegas, where the American mafia will stand in for the nobility of 18th century Spain. The story centers around a single day of madness 24 hours before a big wedding.

The production is directed by USD’s Tracelyn Gesteland, D.M.A., and stars: Brody Krogman, junior, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Dana Carlson, graduate student, Somerset, Wisconsin; Kayla Hernandez, graduate student, Storm Lake, Iowa; and Kevin Phillips, sophomore, Colton, South Dakota. David Holdhusen, Ph.D., will be conducting a 14-piece orchestra of students and community members for the production.

Tickets are available at the door, $10 for adults and $5 for students with an I.D.
