The internationally-recognized ensemble will perform a program entitled “Romantic Inspirations,” featuring works from Haydn, Shostakovich and Schumann that each composer dedicated to his love interest.

This year new violinist Ioana Galu joins fellow faculty members Marie-Elaine Gagnon on cello and Susan Keith Gray on piano. The trio is named for its benefactors, the late Marjorie and Robert Rawlins.

Since its founding in 1987, the Rawlins Piano Trio has distinguished itself as a dynamic group of performers, teachers and scholars. The ensemble performs throughout the United States and abroad and has five CD recordings.
