USD School of Education Professor to be Inducted into International Hall of Fame
The IACE Hall of Fame is a nonprofit corporation whose purpose is to honor individuals who have made distinguished contributions to the field of adult and continuing education. Annually, adult and continuing education leaders from around the world are selected for induction.
“It is a singular honor to be named to such a prestigious company and to sit in the IACE Hall of Fame with the likes of Paulo Freire, whose work I researched for my doctoral dissertation in 1991, and Julius Nyerere, the late President of Tanzania (Nwalimu),” Avoseh said.
“I am thankful to all my teachers along the line for preparing me, to the two senior colleagues in the U.S. and Germany who nominated me and to the IACE Hall of Fame board for considering me,” Avoseh continued. “I will treasure this moment, and indeed, the totality of this experience forever.”
The induction ceremony will be held Oct. 6.
