USD School of Education Sponsors Hood Magazine Teacher of the Year
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- A teacher from Hartford Elementary School just west of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was named ‘Hood Magazine’s Teacher of the Year in a contest sponsored by the University of South Dakota School of Education.
Pam Holloway teaches first grade in the West Central School District. The student who nominated her, Karson Olson, joined her in the KSFY-TV studio Wednesday for the announcement on the ABC station’s morning show. More than 60 students nominated their teachers for this year’s award.
Karen Kindle, assistant professor, and Mark Baron, associate dean, in the School of Education presented Holloway with a plaque during the live broadcast. A feature story on Holloway is in the current edition of 'Hood Magazine.
