Students and administrators will have a chance to explore the teaching profession, learn more about the USD teacher education program, meet current students and professors, and more.

April Lee, School of Education recruiter, said the Learning Expo provides high school students an opportunity to learn more about the School of Education as well as network. “Participants will meet a lot of other students interested in the profession, and they can build relationships and lasting friendships,” Lee said.

The event is free, but the School of Education asks participants to register. Students can register using this link. Schools interested in bringing a group of students can register using this link. Registration closes on Sept. 22 at 5 p.m.

Educators Rising is a national network that is transforming how America develops aspiring teachers. Starting with high school students, Educators Rising supports communities to provide passionate young people with hands-on teaching experience, sustain their interest in the profession and help them cultivate the skills they need to be successful educators. The result is a pipeline of accomplished teachers who are positioned to make a lasting difference.
