USD School of Law Named Best Value Law School By National Jurist
The University of South Dakota School of Law was ranked a best value law school by National Jurist magazine for the seventh consecutive year.
“USD Law is deeply honored to receive this recognition once again,” said Liz Taggart, director of admissions at the law school. “USD Law has continued to produce excellent attorneys at a cost that cannot be beat.”
Ranked sixth overall, USD School of Law graduates averaged the least amount of debt of all ranked schools.
The best value law schools ranking is based on employment rate, tuition, cost of living, and average indebtedness upon graduation. Bar exam pass rate is also taken into consideration.
The USD School of Law educates most of the state’s lawyers and judges, filling spots in private law firms and in public legal practice. Along with being a best value school, it was recently ranked in the top 10 in clerkship placements.
