USD School of Law professor appointed to AAI advisory board
The AAI is an independent, non-profit educational, research, and advocacy organization consisting of a network of experts in the field of competition policy. Prior to joining the USD School of Law faculty in the fall, Professor Horton spent 28 years litigating and trying antitrust and other complex cases, including stints as a partner at several major international law firms and as an attorney for the Federal Trade Commission and the United States Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division.
In 2006, Horton published an article on “Competition or Monopoly? The Implications of Complexity Science, Chaos Theory, and Evolutionary Biology for Antitrust and Competition Policy,” as part of an American Antitrust Institute symposium on the science of complexity and antitrust. At USD Law School, he teaches in the areas of trial techniques and trial advocacy.
Horton received a J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University, a M.A.L.S. (American Studies) from Georgetown University, and a B.A. degree in biological sciences from Harvard University. He is a member of The Order of the Coif.
