USD Sponsors Thursday on the Platz in Downtown Vermillion
The live-music community event located downtown at the corner of Market St. and Main St. across from Cafe Brule is organized by the Vermillion NEXT Young Professionals Network and the Vermillion Area Chamber & Development Company.
Elijah Bonde, the lead organizer of the event and the Tourism and Marketing Coordinator for the VCDC, said there will be activities for everyone — from delicious food and cold drinks, to a bounce house for children and live music to enjoy performed by local band Listening Party.
Thursday’s event will be sponsored by the University of South Dakota, and USD students who bring their student IDs will receive a free walking taco.
“We’re so excited to have USD sponsoring our last Thursdays on the Platz of the summer because it allows our community and USD students to have some great, downtown fun together,” Bonde said.
