Ling Zhang, International Recruiting Coordinator, Meghan Lunders, assistant director of International Student Services, Eric Leise, assistant director for Global Learning, and Annika Turner, Global Learning Advisor, delivered presentations on topics that reflected their areas of interest and expertise at this year’s conference, Oct. 28-30.

Zhang provided advice and proficiency in the area of Chinese transcript and credential analysis, while Lunders presented with Kristen Albrecht from the University of Missouri on the importance of partnerships between international student advisers and academic advisers working together to assist international students. Leise and Turner, along with Angela Manginelli from AIFS Study Abroad, examined how student diversity is defined at institutional, regional and national levels, demonstrating how USD works to overcome the challenges diverse students encounter when planning a study abroad opportunity.

NAFSA regional conferences are held annually for members with the intent to discuss current issues in the field and to provide an opportunity for members to present on topics that relate to everyday work and on-going research interests.
