USD Summer Music Camp Sets Record Attendance
David Holdhusen, camp director and interim chairman of the USD Department of Music said the learning and music-making experience, held for six days every July on the USD campus, drew 186 campers this year who have completed grades 5 through 12. They came from South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota and Arkansas.
Students received a total of 130 lessons, played in 13 major ensembles, attended 20 classes and took part in an honors recital, a talent show and chamber concert.
