USD Theatre to host Boy Gets Girl auditions Feb 2 to 3
Actors can reserve a specific audition time by signing up on the theatre callboard, located in the east hallway of Fine Arts, or by contacting Rachel Foulks, director, at rachel.foulks@usd.edu. Auditions should include two, three-minute contrasting monologues. Auditions are from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday with callbacks scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3in the Arena.
“Boy Gets Girl” is a drama by Rebecca Gilman thatexamines the loss of self as experienced by victims of stalking. After Theresa, a young, successful reporter has a couple of dates with Tony, another soul looking for love; Theresa sees no point in continuing the relationship. Tony thinks otherwise and begins to stalk Theresa, threatening her personal safety and ability to maintain her own identity.
