The International Office, the Gallagher Center and several faculty members and students collaborated to create the schedule of events for USD.

“The goal of International Education Week is to draw attention to all things international on campus, especially the Gallagher Center’s opportunities for study abroad, faculty led programs and international service-learning trips,” said Susan Hackemer, director of the International Office. “But we are also promoting the value of learning with and from USD’s international students and USD’s courses and majors that emphasize international topics and cultural skills.”

IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education as part of their efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences.
