Most first-year students start the move-in process Friday at the DakotaDome parking lot where they receive their information packets, keys and instructions on driving to the residence halls. Current students, staff and faculty will help unload vehicles, which eliminates long lines, waiting and potential traffic congestion on campus.

Activities will begin at 7 a.m., and will conclude with convocation at the DakotaDome at 4:30 p.m. Following a short program, students and families are invited to a 5 p.m. picnic on the grassy area near the DakotaDome tennis courts. The evening is rounded out by comedian Mike Paramore at Aalfs Auditorium at 9 p.m.
